Job summary

C-A-L Stores Companies Inc. seeks a Manager-on-Duty to oversee daily store operations in Goodyear, AZ. You will promote customer service, supervise staff, manage schedules, and ensure efficient inventory and payroll controls. Responsibilities include merchandising, staff development, and taking charge in the absence of the Store Manager to safeguard store performance and profitability.

Qualifications

• 3 years of experience in a retail environment preferred.
• Advanced knowledge of Eagle Browser preferred.
• Experience working in different departments of the store preferred.
• Advanced knowledge of operating a POS system preferred.
• High School Diploma or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Ability to obtain and possess valid driver’s license and insurance.
• Proven written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong interpersonal skills.
• Ability to adapt to rapidly changing work environments and shift priorities.
• Familiar with how to operate a computer system and email.
• Familiar with standard retail concepts and practices.
• Familiar with reading and understanding industry and financial reports.
• Experience using Microsoft Word and Excel.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate sales promotions and merchandising displays.
• Recruit, train, and develop staff; monitor performance.
• Plan and prepare staff work schedules.
• Monitor and order merchandise from distribution center.
• Ensure compliance with security, sales, and recordkeeping procedures.
• Address customer complaints or inquiries.
• Open/close the store and manage related duties.
• Manage payroll budget and fiscal responsibilities.
