Job summary

C-A-L Stores Companies Inc is seeking a Store Associate to support daily store operations and assist customers in locating products. You will help with merchandising, signage, inventory monitoring, and training new staff, while maintaining high service standards.

You will also participate in opening/closing the store, attending meetings, and executing daily goals. Strong communication and adaptability are essential to thrive in a dynamic retail environment.

Qualifications

• 1 year of experience in a retail environment.
• Intermediate knowledge of Eagle Browser.
• Experience working in different departments of the store.
• Intermediate knowledge of operating a POS system.
• Proven written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong interpersonal skills.
• Ability to adapt to rapidly changing work environments and prioritize tasks.
• Familiar with operating a computer system and email.

Responsibilities

• Greet and acknowledge every customer, answer questions, and help locate products.
• Assist with daily store operations including merchandising, displays, signage, and inventory monitoring.
• Train new associates on systems, procedures, and product knowledge.
• Create and implement daily worklists and goals for store associates.
• Step in for Store Manager or Assistant Managers as scheduled.
• Open and close the store as needed and scheduled.
• Lead store meetings and communicate store goals/objectives.
• Answer incoming phone calls.
• Maintain constant radio communication with associates.
• Develop deep product knowledge and promote promotions to customers.
• Support floor moves, merchandising, and housekeeping.
• Contribute to a clean, organized shopping environment.
