Job summary

Dollar General is seeking a Store Supervisor to manage Non Perishable Food and General Merchandise operations. You will optimize inventory, presentation, and customer service while safeguarding assets and enforcing food safety rules.

Aiding the Store Manager, you’ll develop staff, schedule coverage, and drive performance improvements across the store. The role requires minimum three years of retail experience, prior department head or assistant manager exposure, and a strong grasp of inventory

Qualifications

• Ability to read and interpret operating statements and identify corrective actions.
• Knowledge of cash, facility and safety control policies and practices.
• Understanding of food handling certifications and requirements.
• Ability to recruit, interview, hire and counsel in compliance with policy.
• Strong math skills for calculations and inventory control.

Responsibilities

• Interact with Store Manager to manage Non Perishable Food and General Merchandise.
• Hire and assign Department Heads, Leads, and Sales Associates.
• Train managers on stock levels, ordering, unloading, stocking, and customer service.
• Schedule coverage and monitor performance; recommend improvements and promotions.
• Maintain regular contact with vendors to ensure timely delivery and accurate billing.
• Execute 7 Day Workflow Plan for stocking standards and store procedures.
• Ensure safety, security, and compliance with food handling rules across the store.
• Analyze operating statements to identify trends and expense-control opportunities.
