Job summary

Dollar General is seeking a Store Manager on duty to oversee the Non-Food Department and overall store operations. The role includes safeguarding assets, ensuring accurate cash handling, and maintaining a clean, organized environment.

You will lead staff in training, inventory control, and merchandising standards, while ensuring customer satisfaction and safety protocols are followed throughout the shift.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Two to three years of retail clerk experience.
• Previous lead experience and/or grocery store experience preferred.
• Attainment of required local and state food handling certifications, if applicable.

Responsibilities

• Manage the Non-Food Department and total store when designated as Manager on duty.
• Authorize refunds and overrides; handle cash deposits and register counts.
• Ensure cash accountability, key control, and security practices.
• Train associates and supervise scheduling.
• Maintain inventory, staging areas, and merchandise presentation.
• Direct and assist with receiving, stock rotation, and loss prevention.
