Job summary

Crosby’s Stores is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to help lead daily store operations and deliver exceptional customer service. You will support the Team Leader, supervise team members, maintain standards, and drive store profitability.

You will oversee customer experience, store operations, and safety while coaching staff, handling schedules, and ensuring accurate cash handling and payroll support. This role emphasizes teamwork and strong operational discipline.

Qualifications

• 21 years of age or older.
• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Able to work at least 40 hours/week, including weekends.
• Valid driver’s license meeting company policy.
• Reliable transportation.
• Serve Safe certified, preferred.
• Proficient in basic math for cash handling and shift reports.
• Ability to operate lottery, POS, and other equipment.
• Exposure to gasoline fumes and cleaning products.

Responsibilities

• Deliver prompt, friendly, and professional service to every customer.
• Prepare fresh food and made-to-order items per Crosby’s standards.
• Promote and assist customers with My Crosby’s Rewards enrollment.
• Drive sales through suggestive selling and add-ons.
• Handle customer concerns when leadership is absent.
• Oversee daily operations for efficiency and profitability.
• Maintain cleanliness, organization, and brand standards.
• Support merchandising, promotions, and inventory management.
• Communicate effectively with team members and leadership.
• Train, coach, and assist store associates; assist with scheduling.
• Provide feedback on employee performance and development.
• Assist with inventory control, audits, reporting, and cash handling.
• Review timekeeping and assist with payroll processing.
• Report discrepancies and maintain records.
• Maintain safe store environment and follow cash security policies.
