Job summary

Family Dollar in Abbeville, SC is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to help oversee daily store operations, deliver exceptional customer service, and develop the store team. You will assist with merchandising, opening and closing procedures, payroll and scheduling, loss prevention, and compliance with company policies, while maintaining a clean, well-stocked sales floor and organized stockroom.

• High school diploma or equivalent is preferred
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and written skills are required
• Ability to work in a high-energy, team environment is required
• Excellent customer service and organizational skills are required

Responsibilities

• Assist with store functions and day-to-day store activities
• Help customers in a positive, approachable manner and address questions or concerns
• Help organize, and transfer merchandise from delivery truck to stockroom to sales floor
• Perform opening and closing procedures
• Process corporate directives and store communications
• Maintain promotional fixtures and displays
• Assist in ordering merchandise, processing damaged merchandise, payroll and scheduling, and loss prevention
• Maintain clean, well-stocked store areas and organized stockroom
• Protect and secure store assets, including cash
• Adhere to safety policies and ensure associates follow procedures
• Help Store Manager supervise, train, and develop Store Associates
• Ensure a positive, safe environment with professional interactions
• Maintain cleanliness including bathrooms and floors
• Other duties as assigned*
• Ensure compliance with store policies and procedures
