Family Dollar Stores Of South Carolina LLC is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to support store operations, customer service, and team development. You will help with day-to-day activities, organize merchandise, and supervise associates under the Store Manager.

The role emphasizes maintaining a clean, safe, and engaging store environment, enforcing policies, and ensuring high promotional display standards while adapting to corporate directives and store needs.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Store management experience in retail, grocery, or drug store preferred.
• Ability to lift up to 55 lbs and perform physical tasks.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work in a high-energy, team environment.
• Exceptional customer service and organizational skills.
• Strong problem solving and decision-making skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist with store functions and day-to-day activities.
• Help customers in a positive, approachable manner.
• Organize and transfer merchandise from delivery to stockroom and sales floor.
• Perform opening and closing procedures.
• Process corporate directives and communications related to store activities.
• Maintain promotional displays and fixtures.
• Assist in ordering merchandise, handling damaged merchandise, payroll, scheduling, and cash handling.
• Maintain organized stockroom and well-stocked sales floor.
• Protect and secure store assets, including cash.
• Lead and develop Store Associates under the Store Manager.
• Ensure a clean, safe, and respectful environment.
• Follow safety policies and procedures.
• Other duties as assigned.
