Job summary

Dollar General is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to help run a clean, customer-first store with supervision of staff, merchandising and deposits under the Store Manager's direction.

You'll assist with scheduling, training, and safety meetings, manage stock and planograms, and ensure cash control while protecting assets and maximizing profitability. High school diploma and 1 year retail experience preferred, with 6 months supervisory experience desired.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• One year retail experience and six months supervisory experience preferred.
• Strong communication and organizational skills required.

Responsibilities

• Provide superior customer service leadership and operate cash register.
• Open and close the store at least two days per week.
• Assist with scheduling, training, and safety meetings for employees.
• Manage merchandise receiving, stocking, and displays per planograms.
• Maintain inventory accuracy and cash control procedures.
