Job summary

Family Dollar in Greensboro, GA is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to help oversee daily store operations, drive customer service, and develop team members. This part-time role supports the Store Manager in achieving sales targets and operational standards.

You will assist with opening/closing, merchandising, payroll and scheduling tasks, while ensuring a clean, welcoming store environment for customers and associates.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is preferred; ability to read, interpret, and explain operational directives.
• Store management experience in retail, grocery, or drug store environment is preferred.
• Must be able to lift up to 55 lbs. from floor to above shoulder height and meet demands of frequent walking, standing, stooping, kneeling, climbing, pushing, pulling, and repetitive lifting.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and written skills are required.
• Ability to work in a high-energy, team environment is required.
• Exceptional customer service, organizational, and communication skills are required.

Responsibilities

• Assist with store functions and day-to-day store activities.
• Support customers with questions in a positive, approachable manner.
• Organize and transfer merchandise from delivery truck to stockroom to sales floor as needed and maintain seasonal areas.
• Perform opening and closing procedures as needed.
• Help supervise and develop Store Associates.
