Job summary

Family Dollar in Hartwell, GA is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to support daily store operations, customer service, and team development. You will assist with merchandising, open/close procedures, payroll, scheduling, and loss prevention while maintaining a safe, clean and welcoming store environment.

The role requires strong communication, organizational, and leadership skills, with the ability to work in a fast-paced team setting and help drive store performance.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Retail store management experience preferred.
• Ability to lift up to 55 lbs and perform physical tasks.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist with day-to-day store activities.
• Help customers in a positive, approachable manner and address questions or concerns.
• Organize, stock, and maintain seasonal areas of the store.
• Perform opening and closing procedures as needed.
• Assist with payroll, scheduling, cash handling, and loss prevention.
• Maintain clean, stocked, and presentable sales areas.
