Job summary

Family Dollar in Snellville, GA is hiring an Assistant Store Manager to support daily store operations, customer service, and team development. You will assist with merchandising, opening/closing duties, and ensuring a clean, organized store.

The role emphasizes training Store Associates, maintaining safe and compliant operation, and delivering excellent customer experiences in a fast-paced environment. This is a part-time position with room to grow.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is preferred; reading directives is required.
• Store management experience in retail, grocery, or drug store environment is preferred.
• Must be able to lift up to 55 lbs and perform physical tasks.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills are required.
• Ability to work in a high-energy, team environment is required.
• Excellent customer service and organizational skills are required.

Responsibilities

• Assist with store functions and day-to-day store activities.
• Help customers in a positive, approachable manner and address questions or concerns.
• Organize and transfer merchandise from delivery to stockroom to sales floor; maintain seasonal areas.
• Perform opening and closing procedures as needed.
• Process corporate directives and communications related to store activities.
• Maintain promotions and fixtures; ensure cleanliness and stockroom organization.
• Assist in ordering merchandise, processing damaged goods, payroll, scheduling, and cash deposits/receipts; support loss prevention.
• Protect assets including store cash and adherence to policies.
