Dollar Tree Stores, Inc. in Dayton, OH is seeking a Merchandise Assistant Manager to join the Store Manager in guiding a dynamic team.

You will focus on merchandising, processing freight, and maintaining a safe, welcoming environment for customers and associates on the sales floor and in the stockroom. The role requires prior retail/management experience, strong communication, and physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs.

Qualifications

• Prior retail and management experience is preferred.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and written skills are required.
• Must be able to lift between 30 and 50 lbs and be able to handle frequent walking, standing, and movement

Responsibilities

• Assist with all store functions and day-to-day activities.
• Perform opening and closing procedures as needed.
• Protect and secure company assets, including store cash.
• Adhere to all policies and safety guidelines.
• Maintain stockroom and sales floor to company standards.
• Process directives related to store activities.
• Keep store clean and presentable and safe for customers and staff.
• Assist Store Manager with freight flow and merchandise planning.
• Plan, merchandise, and stock Clip Strips and Power Panels.
• Support monthly Sales Planners and ensure sales effectiveness
