Job summary

Five Below in New Jersey is seeking a Store Manager in training to lead crew toward delivering a WOW customer experience. You will supervise daily store activities, train associates, manage stock, and ensure efficient operations.

You will drive sales, control expenses, and collaborate with the leadership team on merchandising and daily operations. A minimum 1 year in management and strong communication skills are essential.

Responsibilities

• Ensures all crew members are WOWing the Customer through personal contact with customers.
• Trains the crew on the BEST customer service experience; ensuring fast, friendly checkout for guests.
• Oversee daily activities of store associates, ensuring duties are performed effectively and customer service is excellent.
• Assist with receiving, unpacking, and organizing new stock for quick shelf placement.
• Act as Manager on Duty, taking full responsibility for store operations, staff management, customer service, and urgent issues.
• Manage opening/closing of the store, including securing cash, locking doors, and setting alarms.
• Support onboarding and ongoing training of associates on store policies, product knowledge, and procedures.
• Drive store sales and control expenses by optimizing merchandising, staff performance, and customer service.
• Partner with store leadership on merchandising procedures and World Recovery.
• Perform store maintenance such as cleaning, stock room upkeep, and bathroom cleaning.
