Job summary

The Michaels Companies Inc. is seeking a Merchandise Manager for LA-LAKEWOOD, CA to drive merchandising and operational execution. You will manage truck processing, inventory routines, planogram sets, and visual standards to ensure accurate pricing, timely promotions, and a customer-ready store environment.

With 3+ years in retail leadership, you’ll lead SOP adherence, provide MOD coverage, and coordinate staffing with store leadership while ensuring shrink control and high service levels.

Qualifications

• 3+ years retail leadership experience.
• Strong workload planning and inventory management skills.
• Ability to train and coach team members.

Responsibilities

• Assist Store Manager in leading SOPs and company programs for compliance.
• Ensure adherence to policies, store conditions, and results.
• Provide MOD coverage, maintaining floor leadership and service standards.
• Lead truck execution, unloading, sorting and flow to sales floor.
• Own workload planning and daily task prioritization with store leadership.
• Execute Store-In-Stock Optimization routines to improve in-stock levels.
• Oversee Planogram execution and visual merchandising standards.
• Support a clean, organized, customer-ready store environment.
• Manage inventory control, price changes, and stock movement.
• Oversee Ship from Store, RTVs, ASN receiving and inventory adjustments.
• Train and develop team members; support asset protection practices.
