Job summary

The Michaels Companies Inc. is seeking a Merchandise Manager for the LA-MIRA LOMA, CA area to drive merchandising and store operations, including truck processing, inventory routines, planogram sets, and visual standards.

You will ensure accurate pricing, timely promotions, and customer-ready environments through workload planning, stock control, and adherence to SOPs. The role requires 3+ years of retail leadership and strong team coaching abilities.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3+ years retail leadership experience.
• Experience with planograms and inventory control preferred.
• Ability to lead a store team and execute SOPs.

Responsibilities

• Assist Store Manager in leading adherence to SOPs and company programs to ensure compliance with laws.
• Ensure execution of company policies and standards, holding team accountable for store conditions.
• Provide Manager-on-Duty coverage, maintaining floor leadership and service standards.
• Lead truck execution processes, unloading, sorting, and flow of merchandise to the floor.
• Own workload planning and daily task prioritization with store leadership.
• Execute and maintain Store-In-Stock Optimization routines to improve in-stock levels.
• Oversee Planogram execution to complete merchandising sets on schedule.
• Establish and maintain visual merchandising standards and initial product presentation.
• Support a clean, organized, and customer-ready store environment.
• Manage inventory control, ensuring accuracy and efficient stock movement.
• Execute ad sets with compliant signage and product placement.
• Complete price changes accurately and on time across systems.
• Oversee Ship from Store fulfillment, picking and packing orders efficiently.
• Process RTVs and ASN receiving with proper documentation.
• Manage store damages procedures and shrink reduction.
• Train and coach team members through onboarding and development.
• Partner to maintain Asset Protection practices.
