Job summary

Michaels is seeking a Merchandise Manager to drive merchandising and operational execution at the Frederick location. You will oversee truck processing, planograms, pricing accuracy, promotional execution, and visual standards to ensure a customer-ready store.

The role requires 3+ years of retail leadership and hands-on experience in inventory control and store operations. Excellent planning and team development skills are essential, with flexibility to work nights and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Assist Store Manager in leading SOPs and company programs to ensure compliance.
• Ensure adherence to policies, store conditions, and results.
• Provide Manager-on-Duty coverage and maintain floor leadership.
• Lead truck execution, unloads, sorting, and flow of merchandise to sales floor.
• Own workload planning and daily task prioritization with store leadership.
• Execute and maintain Store-In-Stock Optimization routines for in-stock levels and replenishment.
• Oversee planogram execution and visual merchandising standards.
• Maintain customer-ready store environment and backroom organization.
• Manage inventory control, stock movement, and seasonal replenishment.
• Execute ad sets with compliant signage and product placement.
• Complete price changes accurately and on time; maintain pricing integrity.
• Oversee Ship from Store fulfillment, ensuring orders are picked, packed, and shipped correctly.
• Process RTVs and ASN receiving with proper documentation and adjustments.
• Manage store damages procedures and shrink reduction.
• Train, coach, and develop team members through onboarding and ongoing skill-building.
• Partner in maintaining Asset Protection practices.
