Job summary

Walgreens is seeking an enthusiastic participant for an accelerated Store Manager development track. You will learn store operations across front-end and pharmacy, shadow the Store Manager, and progress through rotations to qualify for Store Manager duties.

The program includes classroom, online and on-the-job training, with opportunities to obtain pharmacy technician registration and PTCB certification as required by state law.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree and 3 years retail management experience or High School Diploma/GED and 5 years of retail management experience.
• Must be fluent in reading, writing, and speaking English (Except in Puerto Rico)
• Willingness to work a flexible schedule, including extended days, evenings, and weekend hours.
• Willingness to accept assignment into a Store Manager position, if an assignment is offered.
• Willingness to transfer to other Walgreens retail assets located within the same hiring Area.

Responsibilities

• Learn Walgreens’ operations to lead full-store operations across front-end and pharmacy.
• Oversee store operation under Store Manager and lead accelerated development toward Store Manager.
• Shadow or assist in direction of store operations and leadership development.
• Engage customers, resolve issues, and model customer service best practices.
• Observe and analyze store performance, drive improvements in sales, service, and costs.
• Support compliance, safety, and asset protection programs across store functions.
