Job summary

Walgreens Des Moines is offering an accelerated Store Manager development program designed to fast‑track qualified candidates into store leadership. You will learn all Walgreens operations across front‑end and pharmacy while completing required certifications within the prescribed learning plan.

You will shadow the Store Manager, oversee daily store activities, and participate in rotations across departments to gain broad, hands‑on experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree and 3 years retail management experience, or high school diploma with 5 years retail management experience.
• Must be fluent in reading, writing, and speaking English (Except in Puerto Rico).
• Willingness to work a flexible schedule, including extended days, evenings, and weekend hours.
• Willingness to transfer to other Walgreens retail assets located within the same hiring Area.

Responsibilities

• Learn Walgreens operations and lead full store operations across front-end and pharmacy.
• Shadow Store Manager to supervise front-end and pharmacy operations while developing leadership skills.
• Complete accelerated development program and obtain required certifications for Store Manager role.
• Engage customers and patients, resolve issues, and model service excellence to build loyalty.
• Analyze store performance data and support actions to improve sales, compliance, and efficiency.
