Job summary

Walgreens Co. offers an accelerated development track to Store Manager through a comprehensive learning plan. Trainees will learn front-end and pharmacy operations, customer engagement, and performance improvement strategies while shadowing the Store Manager and District Manager.

The program includes classroom, online, and on-the-job training, with rotations to other area stores, and certification requirements to qualify for Store Manager roles.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree and 3 years retail management experience or High School Diploma/GED and 5 years of retail management experience.
• Must be fluent in reading, writing, and speaking English (Except in Puerto Rico).
• Willingness to work a flexible schedule, including extended days, evenings, and weekend hours.
• Willingness to accept assignment into a Store Manager position, if an assignment is offered.
• Willingness to transfer to other Walgreens retail assets located within the same hiring Area.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the operation (front-end and pharmacy) of a Walgreens store under the Store Manager.
• Shadow or assist the Store Manager in leading store operations during the learning journey.
• Engage customers and patients, resolve complaints, and model customer service best practices.
• Learn and supervise opening/closing shifts and task delegation to team members.
• Analyze store performance data and develop action plans to improve results.
