Job summary

The Salvation Army Adult Rehabilitation Center is seeking a Store Manager to foster a pleasant, hospitable work environment and build strong customer relationships while leading staff to meet sales goals. The role includes ensuring policy compliance, managing payroll and scheduling, ordering merchandise, and overseeing work therapy supervision.

Qualifications

• Ability to lead, manage and motivate others.
• Good communication skills.
• Ability to read and interpret simple income and expense reports.
• Must possess a valid driver's license with acceptable DMV record.

Responsibilities

• Create a pleasant and hospitable work environment and maintain good customer relationships.
• Ensure compliance with all store policies and procedures and issue warnings as needed.
• Meet sales, production, and expense budget goals to maintain a profitable operation.
• Display merchandise properly and keep shelves stocked from back room to sales floor.
• Hire and interview applicants; recommend for employment to Administrator or Store Supervisor.
• Conduct regular evaluations of staff and schedule regular meetings focusing on safety and policy adherence.
• Schedule staff to ensure full store coverage; post weekly work schedules including breaks and vacations.
• Submit payroll information biweekly with accuracy.
• Order merchandise to maintain stock levels and follow Rag Out Calendar.
• Provide training and supervision for new and existing staff.
• Safeguard cash and handle banking at end of day.
• Ensure all reports are completed and forwarded to finance daily.
