Job summary

The Salvation Army Adult Rehabilitation Center is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to assist the Store Manager with daily store operations and supervision of store personnel. The role focuses on creating a hospitable work environment, maintaining customer service, and ensuring staff adherence to policies and budgets.

The ideal candidate will have a high school diploma or equivalent, strong communication skills, the ability to read income/expense reports, and prior supervisory or sales

Qualifications

• HS diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to read and interpret simple income and expense reports.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to motivate a team.
• Valid driver’s license required.
• Experience in sales preferred.
• Supervisory experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Store Manager in scheduling Sales Associates.
• Assist in payroll, budgeting, and expense management.
• Ensure the store is well stocked and merchandise is properly displayed.
• Assist with training, direction, and supervision of personnel.
• Assist with interviewing and regular evaluations of staff to identify strengths and development areas.
