Job summary

Dollar General is seeking a Store Manager to lead all store operations, including staffing, training, merchandising and daily financial controls. The role requires strong leadership, customer service focus and compliance with company policies.

You will oversee ordering, receiving, inventory management and staff development to ensure a high‑performing store environment. The position is full-time and based at one of our store locations in Ohio.

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent strongly preferred.
1 year of management experience in a retail environment preferred.
Experience with cash handling, inventory and store operations.

Responsibilities

Lead planning and execution of store processes including ordering, receiving, stocking, presentation and selling.
Recruit, hire and retain qualified employees and ensure staffing levels.
Provide training, conduct performance evaluations and counsel when needed.
Monitor store operations, safety, and compliance with policies and procedures.
Manage opening/closing routines and maintain store security and cash controls.
Analyze sales, inventory and expenses to identify trends and opportunities.
Ensure accurate stock levels and effective merchandising and signage.
Maintain clean, organized store and safe working environment.
