Job summary

Dollar General is seeking a Store Manager in Ohio to lead store operations, staffing, and customer service. You will oversee ordering, receiving, stocking, presentation, selling, and daily staffing to ensure smooth store performance.

You will recruit and train employees, conduct evaluations, enforce safety policies, manage inventory, and drive profitability while maintaining a welcoming shopping environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent strongly preferred.
• One year of management experience in a retail environment preferred.

Responsibilities

• Recruit, select and retain qualified employees and staff the store.
• Provide training, conduct evaluations, and counsel or terminate as needed.
• Recommend pay rate and advancement opportunities.
• Communicate expectations and conduct meetings to reinforce safety and policies.
• Open and close the store at least twice weekly.
• Manage inventory, ordering, stock replenishment and pricing.
