Job summary

Ross Stores, Inc. is seeking an experienced Store Manager to lead all aspects of store operations in a fast-paced retail environment.

You will recruit, train and develop leadership and non-exempt staff, manage stockroom, front end and sales floor activities, and drive sales and profitability while maintaining excellent customer service. You will analyze reports, optimize scheduling and payroll, and ensure compliance with company policies.

Qualifications

• Five or more years of store management experience in a retail environment.
• Must maintain a high level of customer service.
• Must demonstrate the ability to lead, manage, motivate and communicate positively to store associates at all levels.
• Ability to train, coach and develop associates at all levels.
• Ability to organize and prioritize tasks to accomplish goals and execute to achieve results.
• Fluency in English.
• Must exercise independent judgement and discretion.
• Ability to work evenings and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Leads all store operations to meet company standards and best practices.
• Recruits, trains and develops Assistant Managers, Area Supervisors and non-exempt associates.
• Manages stockroom, front end and sales floor to ensure timely merchandise flow.
• Analyzes store reports to control expenses and evaluate performance.
• Ensures payroll, scheduling and compliance with policies.
• Maintains safe, clean and customer-friendly store environment.
• Directs training and coaching of staff on loss prevention and merchandising standards.
