Medford Cooperative is seeking a Store Manager to oversee daily operations, manage staff, control costs, and maintain customer satisfaction across all departments in Medford. You will ensure profits, implement marketing plans, and lead by example to achieve financial goals.

This full-time role requires 5+ years of customer service management in grocery/retail, with travel to other Medford locations for education.

Qualifications

• Must have a minimum of 5 years Customer Service Management experience in grocery or retail environment.
• Preferred 5-7 years grocery retail experience in overall store operations.
• Regularly scheduled travel to other Medford Cooperative locations will be required for educational purposes.

Responsibilities

• Lead employees by positive example in all actions and communications.
• Oversee department schedules to provide customers with the best shopping experience while meeting budgets.
• Achieve budgeted financial goals and ensure profitability through cost control and marketing plans.
• Review monthly Profit and Loss statements to keep the store on budget and implement changes as needed.
• Understand scanning & receiving processes and back-office systems (ad batches, price files, margins).
• Assist in building ads and promotions with the cooperative team and vendors.
• Manage and train employees with coaching, reviews, and feedback.
• Coordinate with management and HR on hiring needs and employee relations.
• Provide best-in-class customer service, greeting, engaging, and thanking every guest.
• Monitor inventory controls and maintain product knowledge across departments.
• Support store promotional events and other duties as assigned.
• Maintain clean, safe work environment and adherence to safety regulations.
