Job summary

Dollar General seeks a store leadership professional to oversee planning, staffing, and execution of all store processes. You will manage ordering, receiving, stocking, presentation, selling, and staff support to meet targets.

Responsibilities include recruiting, training, evaluating performance, and ensuring compliance with safety and security policies. You will also drive cash control, inventory accuracy, and effective store operations daily.

Qualifications

• Supervise and develop store staff; ensure proper staffing.
• Train employees; conduct performance evaluations and counseling.
• Oversee payroll decisions and advancement recommendations.
• Maintain cashier accountability and cash controls.
• Monitor stock levels and ordering to meet targets.
• Ensure store presentation, pricing, and signage compliance.
• Drive safety, security and policy adherence.

Responsibilities

• Recruits, selects, and retains qualified employees according to federal and state labor laws and Company policies; ensure store is properly staffed.
• Provides proper training for employees; conducts performance evaluations; identifies gaps for appropriate solutions and/or counseling, up to and including termination.
• Makes recommendations regarding employee pay rate and advancement.
• Communicates performance, conduct and safety expectations regularly; coordinates meetings and events to encourage safety, security and policies.
• Ensures that the store is appropriately staffed and effectively opened and closed each day.
• Evaluates operating statements to identify business trends (including sales, profitability, and turn).
