Job summary

Dollar General is seeking an experienced store manager responsible for planning and implementing all store processes, including staffing, ordering, receiving, stocking, presentation, and selling. You will lead training, evaluate performance, and ensure policy compliance while maintaining store operations and security.

Responsibilities include scheduling, inventory management, customer service leadership, and adherence to company procedures.

Qualifications

• Reads and interprets documents such as diagrams, safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedures manuals.
• Performs mathematical calculations including addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, and percentages.
• Knowledge of cash handling procedures including cashier accountability and deposit control.

Responsibilities

• Recruit, select and retain qualified employees according to federal and state labor laws and company policies.
• Provide proper training for employees; conduct performance evaluations; identify gaps and propose solutions.
• Make recommendations regarding employee pay rate and advancement.
• Communicate performance, conduct and safety expectations; coordinate meetings and events to ensure safety and policy compliance.
• Open and close the store as required, maintaining staffing levels.
