Job summary

Dollar General store leadership role seeking a candidate to oversee daily operations, staff development and store performance. You will manage ordering, receiving, stocking, pricing and customer service while ensuring compliance with company policies.

The role requires strong leadership, staffing, coaching, and adherence to safety standards. You will open/close the store, monitor inventory and drive sales in a fast-paced environment at a neighborhood Dollar General location.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent strongly preferred.
• One year of management experience in a retail environment preferred.
• Ability to recruit, hire and train qualified applicants.
• Knowledge of safety, cash handling, and inventory control.
• Excellent communication and leadership skills.

Responsibilities

• Recruit, select and retain qualified employees according to laws and policies; ensure store is properly staffed.
• Provide training for employees; conduct performance evaluations; identify gaps for solutions or counseling.
• Make recommendations regarding employee pay rate and advancement.
• Communicate performance, conduct and safety expectations; coordinate meetings and events.
• Ensure store is appropriately staffed and opened/closed each day.
