Job summary

The Container Store in Newark, DE is seeking a Store Manager to lead daily store execution with strong people leadership, operational excellence, and a commitment to customer experience. This is a full-time, salaried exempt position.

You will partner with the General Manager to translate priorities into action, coach and develop the team, oversee inventory, merchandising, safety, and financial metrics to deliver store performance and a welcoming shopping environment.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of retail leadership experience.
• Proven ability to coach and lead teams and drive performance.
• Strong organizational and time management skills.
• Open availability including nights and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Lead day-to-day store operations to drive revenue and customer experience.
• Coach and develop the team with real-time feedback.
• Manage labor planning and scheduling in line with traffic.
• Oversee inventory control, fulfillment, and backroom organization.
• Ensure store safety and compliance.
