Job summary

The Container Store in Raleigh, NC is seeking a Store Manager to lead daily store execution, drive revenue through outstanding customer service, and coach a high-performing team.

In this full-time, exempt role, you will partner with the General Manager to implement strategic priorities, manage payroll and staffing, oversee inventory and visual merchandising, and ensure a safe, welcoming shopping environment.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of retail leadership experience.
• Proven ability to coach and lead teams.
• Strong organizational and time management skills.
• Clear written and verbal communication across all levels.
• Experience using business insights and reporting for decision making.
• Availability to work nights and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Executes the store’s business strategy by leading day-to-day operations.
• Coaches and develops the team to deliver consistent performance and service.
• Manages payroll reporting and staffing in line with priorities.
• Analyzes store data to track progress toward goals.
• Champions high-performance culture and accountability.
• Leads visual merchandising to align with brand guidelines.
• Maintains store maintenance, safety protocols and supply management.
• Oversees inventory control, fulfillment, money handling, and backroom organization.
• Leads recruitment, onboarding and training of new employees.
