Job summary

The Michaels Companies in Waynesboro, VA seeks a Store Manager to lead and develop a diverse team, deliver the customer brand promises, and keep the store profitable within budget. You will hire, train, coach, and manage performance while ensuring excellent customer service.

As Manager on Duty, you’ll oversee operations across departments, drive sales, and maintain a positive store culture. Expect nights, weekends, and early shifts as needed.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of retail experience with inventory, merchandising and customer service know-how.
• 2+ years supervising a diverse team, with focus on performance management and development.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage all aspects of the store, ensuring SOPs and company standards are followed.
• Deliver sales and profit plans and KPI targets in line with annual objectives.
• Staff the store with qualified Team Members and manage hiring, training and coaching.
• Serve as Manager on Duty and ensure cross-training in all departments including framing.
• Handle other duties as assigned and maintain a positive, respectful work environment.
