Job summary

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent strongly preferred.
• One year of management experience in a retail environment preferred.
• Ability to recruit, interview, hire, counsel and terminate per policies and procedures.
• Knowledge of cash handling procedures including deposits and cashier accountability.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to lead a team.

Responsibilities

• Recruit, select and retain qualified employees and ensure proper staffing.
• Provide training and conduct performance evaluations; identify gaps for solutions or counseling.
• Make recommendations regarding employee pay rate and advancement.
• Communicate performance, conduct and safety expectations; coordinate meetings to ensure safety and policies.
• Ensure store is staffed and opened/closed effectively.
• Evaluate operating statements to identify trends, expenses, shrink, and errors.
• Order to meet in-stock targets; manage inventory and cycles weekly.
• Maintain merchandise presentation and accurate signage and pricing.
• Maintain cash controls, security practices, and store financial integrity.
• Provide superior customer service leadership and a clean, safe store environment.
