Job summary

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred
• 1 year of retail management experience preferred
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills required
• Knowledge of recruiting, interviewing, and termination practices including legal compliance
• Cash handling proficiency and deposit controls

Responsibilities

• Recruits, selects and retains qualified employees according to laws and company policies; ensures proper staffing.
• Provides training, conducts performance evaluations and counsels employees as needed.
• Makes recommendations on pay rate and advancement for staff.
• Communicates performance expectations and conducts regular safety and policy meetings.
• Opens and closes the store with a defined cadence and staffing.
• Evaluates store performance, sales, profitability and shrinkage trends.
• Manages ordering and inventory planning to meet in-stock targets; conducts cycle counts.
• Facilitates merchandising, pricing and signage per company standards.
• Maintains inventory accuracy and cash control procedures.
• Delivers superior customer service leadership and enforces a safe shopping environment.
• Ensures necessary tools and cleanliness to perform tasks.
