Job summary

Timberland seeks a Store Manager in Michigan to lead store performance, drive sales, and deliver an exceptional customer experience while developing a diverse, high-performing team.

The role requires 3–5 years of retail management, a high school diploma (associate’s degree preferred). Strong coaching, communication, and operational skills are essential to manage schedules, visual standards, and store activities.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of related professional/retail management experience.
• High School diploma required; an associate’s degree preferred; undergraduate or graduate degrees valued but not required.

Responsibilities

• Model exceptional customer service and selling behaviors to elevate the in-store experience.
• Partner with store leaders and associates to achieve and exceed sales goals, monitoring progress against KPIs.
• Model brand-specific service standards and selling behaviors to foster authentic customer engagement.
• Lead people management, including recruitment, onboarding, performance evaluations, promotions, and terminations.
• Monitor and shape store culture to align with company values and maintain a positive team environment.
• Provide coaching, feedback, and training in customer service, product knowledge, and operational excellence.
• Manage store operations including scheduling, expense control, loss prevention, audits, and reporting.
• Ensure visual merchandising standards are met and inventory is maintained through receiving procedures.
• Support store marketing events and community engagement initiatives to drive traffic and brand awareness.
• Promote accountability, creativity, and continuous learning by sharing best practices and collaboration.
