Job summary

Insomnia Cookies is hiring for a full-time Store Manager in Training at our Downtown Cincinnati location. You will serve as Manager-on-Duty during shifts when the GM isn’t present and lead 2–5 teammates in cookie sales and deliveries.

As an MIT, you’ll onboard new hourly staff, conduct interviews in the manager’s absence, and assist with ordering, inventory, and scheduling while upholding all bakery standards. Growth opportunities and benefits are included.

Qualifications

• At least 1 year of supervisory experience in a restaurant or retail store.
• Prior experience conducting in-person interviews of hourly support staff.
• POS systems experience.
• Proficiency in MS Office, Word and the Applicant Tracking System.

Insomnia Cookies is actively hiring for a full‑time hourly Store Manager in Training (MIT) at our Downtown Cincy store located at 1126 Main St Cincinnati OH 45202. You are the captain of our bakery day or night! We are seeking hospitality focused individuals looking to join our industry‑leading, rapidly growing, nationally recognized company.

Insomnia Cookies was founded in a college dorm room by then‑student, Seth Berkowitz. Over the past 20 years the brand has grown to more than 300 stores worldwide and is known for its “sweet‑easy” concept, exceptional cookie experience and reliable delivery service.

Responsibilities

• Perform as Manager‑on‑Duty during scheduled shifts when the Store Ops Manager (GM) is not present.
• Supervise, train and coach 2‑5 team members engaged in both cookie sales and customer deliveries.
• Lead new hourly staff onboarding and initial training.
• Conduct initial interviews for potential new hires (Cookie Crew, Shift Leaders, and Delivery Drivers) in the manager’s absence.
• Support Store Ops Manager with ordering, inventory control and scheduling.
• Hold staff accountable to Insomnia Cookies’ standards (baking, uniform, company policies, etc.).
• Ensure all team members perform upselling and deliver exceptional customer service.

Qualifications

• At least 1 year of experience in a supervisory role within a restaurant or retail store.
• Prior experience conducting in‑person interviews of hourly support staff.
• Prior Point of Sale (POS) systems experience.
• Proficiency in MS Office, Word and the Applicant Tracking System.
• Availability to work a 4‑5 day week and 1‑2 mid‑to‑late shifts during the latter part of the week (Thursday‑Sunday).
• Must be 18 years of age or older and have legal eligibility for employment in the United States.
