Dollar General Corporation is seeking a Store Manager Candidate to support the Store Manager in daily operations, staffing, inventory, stocking and receiving, paperwork, and store needs. This role is for a limited period to develop external candidates for future Store Manager roles.

You will help recruit and staff, assist merchandising, manage inventories, and ensure store processes align with company procedures.

Qualifikationen

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 2+ years in a leadership or managerial role preferred.
• 2+ years in retail grocery store preferred.

Aufgaben

• Assists in recruiting and staffing activities.
• Assists with merchandising by staging, stocking and storage of merchandise.
• Assists in inventory management including damages, markdowns, paperwork and controls; prepare inventories.
• Follows prescribed ordering to meet or exceed in-stock targets.
• Provides customer service leadership.
• Adheres to company procedures and policies as outlined in the handbook and SOP.
• Participates in store opening and closing activities.
• Ensures secure deposits and cash controls are followed.
• Maintains clean, well-stocked stores and safe environment for customers and employees.
• Operates store in the absence of the store manager.
• Reviews operating statements for trends and opportunities; controls expenses and shrink.
