Dollar General Corporation is seeking a Store Manager Candidate to support the Store Manager in implementing store processes, supervising staff, and managing inventory and merchandising. This role develops external candidates for the Store Manager role and is held for a limited period.

You will participate in opening/closing, ensure cash control, and maintain a safe, well-stocked store while meeting in-stock targets and delivering superior customer service.

Qualifications

• Able to supervise staff and build effective teams.
• Experience in inventory control, shrink reduction and audits.
• Strong customer service orientation with problem solving skills.
• Knowledge of basic merchandising and pricing standards.

Responsabilités

• Assists in recruiting and staffing activities.
• Assists with store merchandising and stock presentation per policy.
• Manages inventory processes including damages, markdowns, scans, and paperwork.
• Follows ordering practices to meet in-stock targets.
• Provides customer service leadership and staff guidance.
• Participates in opening and closing store operations.
• Supports cash handling, cashier accountability, and security practices.
• Reviews sales and expense data to identify trends and opportunities.
