AutoZone’s Store Management team drives store performance, fosters a productive team, and ensures exceptional customer service. The MIT role is a transitional program designed to prepare you for a Retail Store Manager position, with hands-on assignments and structured learning over 8–12 weeks.

Within this program, MITs develop leadership, communication, and operational skills while contributing to staffing, inventory, merchandising, and community marketing.

Qualifications

• 1+ year of prior experience as a retail manager or supervisor.
• High school diploma or GED required.
• Ability to communicate effectively in English; Spanish proficiency is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor MITs and store team to deliver WOW customer service.
• Oversee daily store operations including staffing, scheduling, and training.
• Manage inventory, merchandising, and store profitability; analyze monthly P&L statements.
