Job summary

AutoZone’s Store Management team drives store performance and customer service excellence. The MIT role is a transitional path to Retail Store Management, with hands-on assignments and structured learning. Progression to management can occur in 8–12 weeks based on performance and experience.

MITs lead by example, develop teams, and gain exposure to leadership, training, and store operations within AutoZone's culture.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year as a retail manager or supervisor.
• Flexible full-time schedule including mornings, nights, weekends, overtime.
• bilingual Spanish/English is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop a high-performing store team.
• Maintain clear communication with employees and customers.
• Analyze and reconcile monthly P&L statements to optimize profitability.
• Support with store operations, policy compliance, and training processes.
• Assist staffing, mentoring, and training of employees.
• Drive outstanding customer service and proactively resolve concerns.
• Oversee inventory accuracy, merchandising, and sales strategies.
• Complete management skills training and learn core store operations.
