Job summary

AutoZone’s Store Management team drives store performance and exceptional customer service. The MIT position is a transitional role, focusing on leadership training, customer service excellence, and operational expertise.

Over 8–12 weeks, you may progress into management based on performance. MITs will develop skills in team leadership, staffing support, and training while gaining hands‑on experience with store operations and AutoZone culture.

Qualifications

Minimum 1 year: 1–2 years of prior experience as a retail manager or supervisor.
Flexible schedule: Full‑time availability including mornings, nights, weekends, and overtime as needed.
Education: High school diploma or GED.
Bilingual: Strong English and Spanish communication.

Responsibilities

Lead and develop a high‑performing store team through leadership development.
Maintain clear communications with employees and customers to drive execution.
Learn to analyze monthly P&L statements to optimize profitability.
Support store operations, ensure policy compliance, and uphold training processes.
Assist with staffing, mentoring, and training to build a strong team.
Drive outstanding customer service and proactively resolve concerns.
Oversee inventory accuracy, merchandising, and sales strategies.
Complete management skills training and learn key store operations.
