Job summary

Cumberland Farms in the United States is seeking a proactive Manager In Training to learn day-to-day operations of a Cumberland Farms convenience store. You will work with Training Managers and Supervising Managers across shifts to understand our retail team, vendors, and guest experience.

The role supports the Store Manager and team to deliver an exceptional guest shopping experience, with opportunities to grow into bench leadership as you gain experience and take on more responsibility.

Qualifications

• Minimum Education: High School or GED.
• Minimum Experience: 1 year retail or food experience.
• Preferred Experience: 1 year in retail, guest service or restaurant, in a leadership role.
• Preferred Licenses/Certifications: ServSafe /Food Safety certification a plus but not mandatory.

Responsibilities

• Greet Guests with a warm welcome and a smile, delivering exceptional customer service.
• Assist Store Manager with building and developing a strong store team: training, scheduling, coaching.
• Monitor product levels on the sales floor and ensure 100% in-stock availability.
• Oversee quality control, merchandising, and food safety programs in hot-food locations.
• Keep store clean and well-maintained, including coffee station, food service area, and bathrooms.
• Operate the cash register efficiently and accurately.
• Support Store Manager or District Manager with duties as assigned.
