Minimum Qualifications
The minimum qualifications for a Store Manager are:
- High School diploma or GED preferred.
- Experience in retail sales preferred.
- Ability to perform the essential duties, responsibilities, and work conditions described below.
- Ability to supervise and train staff in equipment, tools, and materials as per CSR and ASM roles.
- Ability to supervise and manage functions listed in CSR and ASM roles.
- Computer skills or ability to acquire them, including report analysis, inventory and cash control, counseling notices, etc.
- A valid driver’s license and transportation for bank and management meetings.
- Ability to communicate effectively in English, both orally and in writing.
- Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor.
Essential Duties, Responsibilities, And Skills
Leadership and Management
- Recruit, hire, and train employees to ensure excellent customer service.
- Manage and assign tasks to keep the site clean, stocked, organized, and compliant with standards.
- Maintain professionalism among staff and supervisors.
- Schedule staff to optimize customer service and site appearance.
- Practice non-discriminatory management in hiring, training, counseling, motivating, and terminating staff.
Site Relationships
- Develop positive relationships with suppliers.
- Ensure excellent service and resolve customer complaints promptly.
- Promote a safe, positive community image.
Training and Development
- Provide timely performance reviews and feedback.
- Train staff to meet service, image, and marketing standards.
- Ensure safety procedures are understood and followed.
Communication
- Ensure effective communication with staff.
- Hold regular meetings with employees and management.
Organizing and Planning
- Develop action plans to meet site goals.
- Maintain all site files and manuals.
- Ensure timely and accurate reporting by staff.
- Oversee merchandise stocking, display, and pricing.
- Post employment posters and signs visibly.
Financial
- Analyze sales and expenses to maximize profits.
- Budget, forecast, and understand merchandise margins.
- Safeguard cash and financial transactions.
- Perform financial analyses to improve sales and profits.
Working Conditions
- Primarily indoor work; outdoor tasks include cleaning and maintenance.
- Occasional exposure to cold temperatures in coolers/freezers.
- Occasional noise exposure.
- Work with minimal supervision, demonstrating leadership at all times.
