Job summary

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent strongly preferred.
• Experience in retail environment preferred for external candidates.
• Knowledge of cash handling procedures and deposit controls.
• Ability to learn IBM cash register functions and reporting.
• Knowledge of inventory management and merchandising practices.
• Familiar with safety policies, keys, deposits, and store security procedures.

Responsibilities

• Assist in recruiting and staffing activities.
• Assist with store merchandising and staging of merchandise according to manager directions.
• Assist in all aspects of inventory management and paperwork.
• Follow ordering practices to meet in-stock targets.
• Provide customer service leadership and cashier accountability.
• Support store opening/closing activities and bank deposits.
• Maintain clean, safe, and well-stocked store environment.
• Operate store in the manager's absence and review operating statements for trends.
