Job summary

Build-A-Bear Workshop is seeking a Full-Time Store Manager for Westfield Montgomery in Bethesda, MD. The role leads a high-performing team to deliver an exceptional Guest experience in a dynamic retail environment.

You will coach AWMs and Bear Builders, manage payroll and scheduling, and ensure adherence to brand standards while driving sales and profitability. This position requires strong leadership, hiring judgment, and a focus on guest satisfaction.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of management experience in a customer-centric business
• High school diploma or GED required
• Experience using POS, scheduling, HRIS, and time and attendance systems

Responsibilities

• Drive sales and team performance by coaching staff to deliver an exceptional Guest experience and manage payroll, forecasting, and scheduling
• Create weekly schedules and assign daily tasks with guidance from the Assistant Workshop Manager
• Make hiring and promotion decisions based on feedback from the AWM
• Lead and coach the team, enforce policies, and escalate issues per policy
• Ensure merchandising displays adhere to brand standards and create an inviting store environment
• Oversee inventory management including receiving, stocking, and counts
• Build a high-performing team in partnership with the AWM to deliver an exceptional Guest experience
