Job summary

Dollar General is seeking a Store Manager Candidate in a development role to assist in the effective implementation of store processes, supervision, inventory, merchandising, and cash controls. This position develops external candidates toward Store Manager roles for a limited period.

You will help recruit, stock, manage inventory, follow purchasing practices, and engage in strong customer service leadership while operating in the store manager’s absence.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• One year retail experience preferred for external candidates.
• Bilingual Spanish preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist in recruiting and staffing activities.
• Assist with merchandising, staging, stocking and pricing per store direction.
• Assist in inventory management, damages, markdowns, paperwork and controls.
• Follow ordering practices to meet in-stock targets.
• Provide superior customer service leadership.
• Operates in the absence of the store manager.
• Review operating statements for trends and opportunities.
• Complete paperwork and documentation per guidelines.
