Dollar General Store Manager Candidate supports the Store Manager in implementing store processes, supervising staff, and managing inventory and paperwork. This role helps develop a candidate for the Store Manager position on a limited-term basis.

The role covers recruiting, merchandising, inventory, order execution, and verification of store financials while ensuring a safe, well-stocked, customer-focused environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent strongly preferred.
• One year of experience in a retail environment preferred for external candidates.
• Ability to read and interpret documents, perform math, handle cash, and manage inventory.

Responsabilités

• Assist in recruiting and staffing activities.
• Assist with store merchandising and staging, stocking, and pricing of merchandise.
• Assist in inventory management including damages, markdowns, scanning, paperwork and controls.
• Follow ordering practices to meet in-stock targets.
• Provide customer service leadership.
• Operate store in the store manager's absence.
• Review operating statements to identify trends and opportunities.
• Complete paperwork and documentation according to guidelines.
