Job summary

Dollar General is seeking a Store Manager Candidate to support the Store Manager in day-to-day operations at a retail location. The role focuses on staff supervision, inventory control, merchandising, and cash handling to maintain store standards.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent strongly preferred.
• Experience in retail environment preferred for external candidates.
• Ability to read and interpret operating instructions and policies.
• Knowledge of cash handling and report generation is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Assist in staffing and training activities.
• Support merchandising, staging, stocking and pricing per store direction.
• Assist in inventory management and shop floor procedures.
• Follow ordering practices to meet in-stock targets.
• Provide strong customer service leadership and supervision.
• Support store opening/closing and cash controls.
• Review operating statements for trends and opportunities.
• Complete paperwork and documentation per guidelines.
