Job summary

Dollar General is seeking a Store Manager Candidate to assist in supervising staff, optimizing inventory, merchandising and cash controls while delivering strong customer service. The role supports the Store Manager and may work at multiple Dollar General locations as needed.

The ideal candidate has a high school diploma or equivalent and at least a year of retail experience, with preferred bilingual skills in Spanish.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent strongly preferred.
• One year of experience in a retail environment preferred for external candidates.
• Bilingual Spanish speakers may be preferred in some locations.

Responsibilities

• Assist in staffing and recruitment activities.
• Assist with merchandising by staging, stocking and pricing merchandise per store direction.
• Assist in all aspects of inventory management including damages, markdowns, and scans.
• Follow prescribed ordering practices to meet or exceed in-stock targets.
• Provide superior customer service leadership.
• Open and close store operations as needed.
• Maintain cashier accountability and cash control procedures.
• Keep store clean, well-stocked and safe for customers and employees.
• Complete all paperwork and documentation on time.
