Job summary

Dollar General is seeking a Store Manager Candidate to support daily store operations, supervision of staff, inventory management, merchandising, and customer service leadership. This role is designed to develop external candidates for the Store Manager position and is limited in duration.

You will assist in recruiting, stock replenishment, cashier controls, loss prevention, and operating statements review while upholding company policies and procedures.

Qualifications

• Must have strong customer service leadership and cash handling experience.
• Experience with inventory management and merchandising practices.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist in recruiting and staffing activities.
• Assist with store merchandising and stocking to meet in-store targets.
• Assist in all aspects of inventory management including damages, markdowns and reporting.
• Follow ordering practices to ensure in-stock targets are met.
• Provide customer service leadership and maintain store standards.
• Participate in store opening/closing and cash controls.
• Review operating statements for trends and opportunities.
