Job summary

Diamonds Direct in Oklahoma City is seeking an energetic, self-starting Jewelry Store Manager to lead daily operations, drive sales, and deliver outstanding customer service on the store floor.

The ideal candidate will have jewelry industry experience, a bachelor’s degree or equivalent, and a proven ability to train staff, manage schedules, and build lasting customer relationships.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree from four-year college or university, or 3+ years related experience.
• Previous jewelry industry experience required.
• Jewelry store management experience preferred.
• Ability to read, interpret business materials and regulations.
• Ability to write reports and present information to groups.

Responsibilities

• Represent Diamonds Direct at designated functions and marketing opportunities.
• Lead and educate staff to promote performance.
• Create and manage employee schedules and train sales professionals.
• Collaborate with GM & VP to set monthly and annual store goals.
• Develop relationships with key customers and provide exemplary service.
• Ensure inventory control and best practices.

Essential Duties:

Leadership

• Responsible for representing Diamonds Direct at designated functions and marketing opportunities.
• Stays abreast of current and relevant trends in the industry and educates employees to promote optimal performance.
• Proven leader or top performer in current/previous role(s)

Management

• Creates and manages employee schedules
• Trains and develops sales professionals
• Collaborates with GM & VP to set monthly and annual store goals
• Role models appropriate sales techniques
• Ensures inventory control and best practices

Customer Management

• Develops and maintains relationships with key customers
• Demonstrates exemplary customer service and coach employees to do the same
• Is visible on the sales floor to resolve issues/requests in a timely manner

Education/Experience:

• Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from four-year college or university; or a minimum of three years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Previous experience in the jewelry industry required.
• Jewelry store management experience preferred.
• Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations.
• Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.
• Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
